What is the viral cinnamon roll hack?
canned cinnamon rolls are pretty basic. This hack takes them from meh to OH MY GOODNESS! Just because it comes from the can does not mean that it can’t be BANGIN! This method adds cream at the bottom of the rolls before baking and a brown sugar cinnamon syrup on top as well. The cream makes them moist while the brown sugar syrup gets caramelized and delicious! Enjoy these next time you want to level up your canned cinnamon roll game (yea that’s a thing, I said so)
Ingredients:
Here is everything you will need to make them!
1 can of your favorite cinnamon roll brand (enough to cover the pan)
Heavy cream, enough to cover the bottom of the dish
Pecans go on top right before baking
BROWN SUGAR SYRUP ⤵️
5Tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 Cup brown sugar
pinch of OCEAN (salt)
1tsp cinnamon
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING ⤵️
Packet of frosting the canned rolls come with
1/4 Block of cream cheese (2oz)
1tsp vanilla bean paste (or extract)
How to make it:
to a baking pan add in heavy cream to cover the bottom (1/2 cm high). Add in unbaked rolls evenly and set to the side while you make the brown sugar syrup!
In a small pot, on low heat, add in butter, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Stir and heat until the sugar has dissolved. Add in 2Tbsp of heavy cream and continue stirring until incorporated. Remove from the heat immediately. Pour this syrup over the unbaked roll
Cover them with chopped pecans before baking. Bake the rolls according to the instructions on your can. While it bakes make the frosting!
In a bowl combine the frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls, cream cheese, and vanilla bean paste. Mix this together well until incorporated completely. It should be nice and creamy.
When the rolls finish baking spread the cream cheese frosting over them! don’t be shy this isn’t a low calorie food lol. The final result is a war, sticky cinnamon roll as close to Cinnabon as it get while also being super easy! make this for the whole family for your next get together! ENJO

My Mother whose cinnamon rolls, made from real ingredients, including fine stick cinnamon, and pure butter and sugar, would have very unkind things to say about this.
